Who we are

A church

  • A church is a local gathering of Christians who belong to the universal Church of God.  Scripture teaches that Jesus Christ is the head of the church and so it is ultimately Him who plants, grows and leads the church as Prophet, Priest and King. The Bible also says that the church is a reconciled people; those who were once alienated from God are now brought near to God through Jesus’ death on the cross. As his disciples we seek to serve Him in our lives by joyfully obeying His word and by proclaiming him as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It’s all about Jesus. (Col. 1: 15-20)

A family

  • As Christians the Bible teaches that God is our heavenly Father. When Jesus saves us we are adopted as sons and daughters and become children of the Living God. As such, all believers around the world can call one another brothers and sisters in Christ. The result is that we are a community of people who support, encourage and build each other up in the faith, not just on Sundays but throughout the week. (Gal. 4: 4-7)

Ambassadors

  • Ambassadors are those who represent royalty. They are chosen because they make outstanding, loyal and influential representatives. We freely acknowledge that we are imperfect ambassadors, but as Christians we have been called to be Jesus Christ’s representatives here on earth. (2 Cor. 5:20)
